Since 2013, the programme of the Nomad Dance Institute has developed the project of regional archiving of extended choreographic practices in cultural and artistic contexts of the 1970’s, 1980’s and 1990’s in former Yugoslav republics and Bulgaria. The identification and research of examples from the times when the so-called alternative practices and contemporary dance sprang up in the region, when international economic flows began nibbling on the former Eastern European socialisms and when gradual aesthetic diversification of choreographic, stage and performative practices began is a pioneer work for researchers from Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia and for their cultural contexts.
